3. What should I bring to my interview with LNG?
We ask that you upload your resume in advance of our meeting whenever possible, but it’s also helpful to bring references that you would like to use as well as any questions you might have for us, and perhaps a list of companies or types of opportunities that you feel might be of interest to you. It’s always a good idea to bring a pen and a notepad, as we like to provide advice, guidance and suggestions and you might want to take notes.
4. Is this a confidential process?
Your confidentiality is extremely important to us and our process is completely professional and confidential. The majority of our candidates are actively working and looking to us to assist them in finding their next role. As such we do not want to jeopardize your current position or confidentiality and will keep your information and candidacy in the strictest of confidence throughout the job search process. We are careful in conducting references and will only contact references with your permission and we will never present your name or any of your information to a prospective client without first fully discussing the position and company with you and then only with your express consent.
5. How long will it take to find a job?
While we’re constantly working on new opportunities all the time, we pride ourselves on finding the perfect fit for both you and the client. Sometimes that ideal job presents itself very quickly and it’s not uncommon for us to reach out to you almost immediately with opportunities. As you progress in your career, often your expectations for your next great position become more specific and targeted and with more senior roles the clients’ expectations are also more specialized and specific. As such, it can occasionally take more time to find the ideal role and fit for you as requirements and expectations become more specialized. That being said, everyone we work with has their own objectives and timelines or sense of urgency and we will work hard to accommodate your own individual needs and time frame, and will guide and advise you in setting realistic achievable expectations and goals for your search.
6. How often should I touch base with LNG?
We want to hear from you, and sometimes you might think perhaps we’ve forgotten you, but rest assured, we are working diligently in the background everyday speaking with companies and hiring managers and keeping you in mind, and we will contact you when the ideal position that fits your skills, background, goals and needs comes along. We do encourage you to reach out to us every week or two throughout the process and always want to discuss how your process is going and see if we can provide assistance or guidance with your own search efforts. As things change in your own situation, if you get a promotion, change of role, salary expectations or even some good news in your own personal life, we’d love to hear about it!
7. What is required for references?
References are an important part of our process and will be required on every successful candidate that we place in a new position. Ideally we would like 3 or 4 recent supervisory/senior references that can speak to your skills and experience and who would have had some direct interaction with you in your previous roles. We do not want to jeopardize your current position and as such do not require a reference from your current supervisor if you are still gainfully employed and they are unaware of your job search.
